Continuity of Care Experiences (CoCEs) offer Mums-to-be the unique opportunity to voluntarily participate in a program that pairs them with a student midwife throughout their pregnancy journey. This relationship between Student Midwife and Mum-to-be helps to develop trust and familiarity and underpins the provision of women-centred care and support throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the early postpartum period.
The Student Midwife will learn alongside the Mums-to-be, providing midwifery care whilst supervised by experienced midwives. As their knowledge and skills grow, they will become more involved in the care process, ensuring the safety and well-being of the Mums-to-be.
